Rise of the Ancients

THE STORY BEHIND THE SONG

Lyrics

[Verse 1]
Beneath the glacial sheets they sleep
In cities carved in mountains deep
Ten thousand years of frozen dreams
Now crack as ancient magic streams

[Chorus]
They rise from ice and stone
To claim their crystal throne
The prophecy unfolds
As wings of darkness soar

[Verse 2]
Their ships of light breach winter's veil
Through storms of time they set their sail
The modern world stands still in awe
As ancient powers break nature's law

[Chorus]
They rise from ice and stone
To claim their crystal throne
The prophecy unfolds
As wings of darkness soar

[Bridge]
Behold the kings of old
Their story yet untold
The sky turns black as night
As they reclaim their might

[Verse 3]
The prophets warned but none believed
Until the ice-bound gates were cleaved
Now wisdom lost to ages past
Returns to judge the first and last

[Final Chorus]
They rise from ice and stone
To claim their crystal throne
The prophecy unfolds
As wings of darkness soar
As wings of darkness soar!

[Outro]
The ancient ones return
Let modern kingdoms burn
The cycle starts anew
As prophecies come true
